These lines are very parallel. The executuion of such was flawless. I just love how they are only one linebreak apart. But if you want to go for a more perpendicular pattern, I would suggest a more vertical line between the both of them. I understand style is left up to the individual, so they don't have to be exactly parallel. But if this is your first work, I must say, you show a promising career in typography!

Sarcasm is a very hard language for you to understand isn't it buddy? As for the actual picture themselves...I just can't be arsed to critique them, they're ok, but I've seen better. And NECKS! |

Honestly, I really didn't know you could click them... ![]() I think they look better with necks.. but it's hard to get used to, he being a stubby, little rodent and Tails being a stumpy, little fox. |D |

14 days of flash experience (but I have used illustrator before). Made in 2 days. Bash on it. Edit: Fixed Eggman's head. |

Okay, there's just one thing I have to address as my first critique in a while:
No. Learn some manners, then we'll talk. |

I think you're going a bit overboard, Jacks. Oh, and PNSK, I kinda copied the cloud design from An Eddsword cartoon. |

What. By asking that the person not demand critique and instead, ask for it with at least some level of decorum (or rather, you know, just dump it here as everyone else is doing without being a twit about it)....... I'm going overboard..? Holy crap! You think maybe you should reconsider your logic? |

Had a feeling you would say that. To be honest, it didn't come out the way I intended it to. I did like how the egg-mobile turn out (beside the seat). Just one question. Would the brush tool be a better option for me? I often do sketches that experiment with curves and such. |

Mind if I chip in with some of my works? I've recently got my hands on Photoshop Elements 8 and have been playing around with "digital painting", or whatever the right term for that would be. Most of the tests I've been doing with it have involved bringing characters into photographs and doing my best to give them realistic lighting, along with just some normal pieces of artwork as well. http://piggybank12.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d46i5rc Here's Rayman in an old photo I took at Disney World a few years ago. I'm pretty happy with the shading, although I wished I had cleaned up the lines a bit better to give them a more solid look. http://piggybank12.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d49l9ve This is one I just finished yesterday, and I'm very happy with how it turned out as well. Little things that bug me in this include (but not limited to) the lighting, the shadow of the TARDIS on the clouds and Rainbow Dash's wings. http://piggybank12.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d45syhr Here's one last piece I made in PSE8, which is another fusion of a cartoon character in a photograph. I have pretty much the same grips with it I do with the Rayman one up above, but other than that I'm rather proud of it. Could anyone offer any suggestions on how to improve making art and/or painting in Photoshop? I've been using Flash 5 to make almost all my art for the past few years, so Photoshop Elements is quite a much-welcomed change for me. |

I like the Rayman one.. ![]() Sadly, I have no suggestions for improvement, seeing as I have not used Photoshop in half a decade. Sorry. :/ |
