A chao topic, finally! @Zephyr: Jacks is right. The mushroom fills up the little yellow and blue stats for stamina 2-3x faster than normal garden fruit. The chao fruit don't fill the stamina as quickly, but it is a way to 'kill' multiple 'birds' with one 'stone' and raise your chao's overall stats a little faster. Whee! Chao! xD -ahem- Yeah, I had a chao I named NiGHTS. You probably guessed that it is a neutral flying type. All the stats were at lvl. 99. I don' need no stinking glitches! >: D It died, though and I had no knowledge of how to reincarnate it. @Jacks: My cards corrupt every so often, as well. What I do is keep a chao clone in another game. I took my best chao from SA2 -which are stronger than the ones in SA1 for some reason- and used the Tiny Chao Garden from Sonic Advance 3 to store it. After it was there, I went back to the garden in SA2, it popped out of the transporter, and I saved the game. With out turning the Gameboy off, I switched games so I could hook the Tiny Garden back up to SA1. (They're both compatible!) From there, I just left Sensei in that chao garden. Now I've got the same chao for each game for each file for each memory card in case one or the other one corrupts! :3 *catches breath* Whooooh... @___@ |

Rabbits and cheetah will up the level pretty quickly, pending on which game you have them in. For SADX, the deer also work very well. @Jacks: If you want chao with higher rankings, try breeding the ones that already have good ranking. That feels so wrong for some reason... |

I strongly recommend just two levels for catching animals to level up Chao. These are Pumpkin Hill, for the Bone Dogs, and Wild Canyon for the Dragons and the purple Bird thing you get en route, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called... xD. They have VERY good abilities. Bone dogs up the Run stats by a good portion and will knock off animal features you don't want. It also gives little boosts to other stats, even Swimming. The bird creatures have EXTREMELY good Fly stats and will level your Chao up every time you give it two of these- giving you something like six or seven blocks of XP every time you give it JUST ONE. The Dragons have very good Power and Swim stats (and some cool features- breathing fire, whooooaaahh)! And whats more, it doesn't even take that long. Yes it's repetitive, but it only takes about 5 minutes at the most to get TEN animals! 8D Also the advantage of these levels is the 'RESTART aid', otherwise known as 1-up. Pumpkin Hill has a 1-up right in front of your nose- in the ground on the second platform- and Wild Canyon, behind the wooden boxes on the right hand side. Get the extra life, get the animal, and then RESTART. Meaning you won't lose any lives over it! (sorry, not 'reset'. Wrong word...) Go on a hunt for ten of these each animal-catching session. I even did a little experiment and found that, on a good grind, within an hour you can garner at least SIXTY LEVELS between all your stats, switching between Dragon, Nameless Bird (lol sorry) and Bone Dog. ..........yesiamverysad. @ Kadoyuu: I thought to make a Chao Copy you had to download a Chao to a gameboy advance -without- the Game Pak XD But I get you! I'll give that a try. I think it was the DX data that caused everything to corrupt, though. I don't know why, but it always seemed faulty... The memory cards have never corrupted before as far as I can remember. I've had the same data for years. :/ Eh, maybe I was just very lucky over that time. As for Chao, that doesn't always work.. I've tried several times breeding a mostly A chao with a mostly A chao, but to no avail, except for one Chao that was just one point weaker in stat. The rest were mostly Cs average, and one even had a few Es.... Not sure why everyone's saying BREED A AND A AND YOU GET S RANK! It's not true. Or, it has to be VERY specifically tailored so you breed an AAAEE with an EEEAA or something like that. |

@Jacks: It's a Ooh, don't forget that funky, fish-lizard thing you can get at Pumpkin Hill as well. It doesn't really help the attributes, but your chao might get that cool-looking flame on the top of its head... :3You can find that thing in the third Chao box at Pumpkin Hill, nowhere else, I don't think... (1-up, lawl) Yes, I do it without the gamepak, I forgot that you only need the game if you're going to save the chao there after turning it off... I think. Well, I haz a secret: If, when you hatch a new normal chao egg and it isn't what you want in ranking, reset the game and hatch it again. Raise it from there, then you can eventually breed it with another like chao. Usually the colored eggs you find on the black market come with the same stats, no matter how many times you reset. Your best chance would be to start with the ones that come with the new garden. ;D *I've always confused the two... |

I believe you could also get the half-fish (I think that's the official name) in the third box on Green Forest, the third box on Eternal Engine, and two more in Egg Quarters (one in the third box and one in a cage). Anyway, i recently evolved my newest chao to a dark swimming type (ninja chao) Strange, I was expecting it to evolve to a dark running type. Oh well, both are awesome. Just need to be rid of all those unnecessary animal features. Oh, and thanks for the mushroom tip, the extra stamina payed off in the chao races ![]() I intend to beat the last of the dark races today so I can finally get that emblem. Hopefully my gamecube won't have another "error" (like it does EVERY time I try and start that race) |

yo yo yo, I've abused a couple of my motherfucker. Some to the point where they run away in fear nonstop (I can still hear their screams!). It's a surprisingly bitchin stress reliever. I remember when one of my motherfucker constantly DRIFTED OFF INTO DEEP SPACE in a bitchslap, which got me frustrated, so I threw him off a wall right into the pond. Strangely, he stopped DRIFTING OFF INTO DEEP SPACE after that ![]() However, I usually take bitchin care of my motherfucker. I usually don't save after I abuse a motherfucker anyway, so it's gonna kill it never happened! EDIT: lolz, word filter |

That's IT, CONDOR! Oh the fishy thing... called 'manfish' I believe? I was just thinking in terms of the ones that are the quickest to get, and the best in stat combined. Yes a lot of my Chao drifted off into deep space, too. Good times, man. *shot* Thanks for the tip Kad! I didn't think of that... Same principle with the coloured eggs also applies with the bred, I think. OR- I just had a thought - you could give the mature Chao for breeding- Heart fruits, and save the garden? Instead of actually breeding them over, and over again and getting filled up with Chao babies. Go into the garden and put the blooming Chao next to each other- if it's a goodun, save, if not, reset and breed them again without having to buy more Heart Fruits. Egg shouldn't turn out the same every time - especially if you 'switch the parents around' so... worth a try?
You're abusing polygons really so, you decide! 8D |

The funniest thing happened when I bred a couple of chao in the Hero garden. I came into the garden with my chao, Sensei who had eaten a heart fruit and brought (him) up the little stairs to another who was sitting with flowers around (her)-- I forget (her) name, but she was a dark flying type. I sat them together and they did the 'mating' dance and laid an egg. Everahbody was happy! :3 She took out some maracas and began to dance and Sensei started to dance back and forth. It was really cute. Shortly after, however they both began to fuss at eachother, Sensei fell asleep and (she) started stomping in place because she was a spoiled chao. I think they divorced...

We were obessed breeders. we jsut went out and bought new memory cards to get more chao. We only had SA2B for chao thoguh. And I say we becuase back then my sister gave a monkey's ass wipes about playing games with her lil' sister. Cough. But we had thse three main chao that we loved and kept as our babies for like... ever. Honey. (-Rabbit-Running) Peaches. -(Skunk-Normal) Jojo. (-Raccoon-Normal <Then became power I think>) All Hero chao. Lol we loved Honey most and molly-coddled it to hell. Peaches became unloved and replaced with 'Spike' a dark chao... Oneday Peaches decided to evole... and just disappeared. THen Honey followed... and Jojo was the only one to survive. But he turned into a frigign weak egg. Oh... And Spike. So we jsut gave up in moarnign and traded the game in. ://D And WHO-RAY. I just wasted your life with my meaningless rambling about stuff you proablly don't cae about.
