I don't really understand why people liked Crash Bandicoot, I always thought he was crap in terms of game play.

Dang. Everybody's on your case now, GameBuddy!

I loved Crash. The control scheme was kinda quirky for me, but I still liked it.

I liked Spyro more though. Color changing codes were so fun... XD

I didn't like the controlls, the perspective, the layout of the levels, or the character himself. It felt like a psuedo 3D Donkey Kong ripoff.

*shrug* I just didn't have any fun with it.

since this discussion is about N64 im assuming you are referring to Donkey Kong 64

which was released 3 years after Crash 1

its not like im going all ape-shit of you not liking the game, i just find your reasons towards hating this classic extremely shallow

*digs up a copy of Crash Bandicoot ^_^*

You're not doing a very good job!

007 Golden Eye
Perfect Dark
Mario Kart 64
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask
Super Mario 64
WWF Warsone < Playstation vers
WWF No Mercy
Star Fox 64
Super Smash Bros.
Resident Evil 2 (when Leon was cool)
Donkey Kong 64
Mario Party (back when it wasn't repetitive, I still consider the first one the best)
Paper Mario
Cruisn USA
Duke Nukem
Rampage

Those were some good times...

I thought Crash was fun for a little while, the only one I played was him gathering crystals or something, I think it was the 2nd game.. After a while the game just got boring for me..but I played it anyways cause I wanted to beat it. As for Spyro, I never really liked it to be honest, probably because I never knew what to do..

Games on the original PlayStation I always used to play at my cousin's house was:

RE
RE2 <N64 vers
RE3
MegaMan X series
Tekken
Twisted Metal
WWF Warzone
WWF Smackdown series
Crash
Dragonball final Bout (rare ass game and he lost it)
Need for Speed
Mortal Kombat (I think Gold)
Spyro
Gex
Abe's odyssey (I actually hated this game, but I just wanted to beat it)
Final Fantasy VII (I hate you Sephiroth)

Other then that, alot of PlayStation games I've played were very obscure and I don't remember much..

To be fair, I hardly think personal preference is shallow. And personally I wasn't as fond of the GBA Crash game (I didn't have a N64) as I was of the Spyro. Can't really explain why, it was just the way it played; I was happier playing Spyro.

Shoot me.

I have HEARING AIDs. OWWWW.

Not a fan of Crash either, personally. I don't mind him, I just never really got into his games. They were a bit awkward and too linear for my liking. Not to mention trying too hard to be "wacky". Just my personal preference, though. Not everybody is going to like the same games as you. Afraid it's a sad fact.

I enjoyed my Playstation as well, though I was buried in the N64's game library before I got into it. Plenty of great memories for both nonetheless.

Diddy Kong Racing was ok, I guess. I could never get the hang of the controls, so I always lost. That might be why I am not fond of it. I ruled at Mario Kart 64! My siblings stop playing it with me for that reason... <_< . Excite Bike 64 has to this day one of the coolest soundtacks^^....oh, and the game was fun too. I rented Golden Eye for a while and realized I had a knack for fps games. Everything else like that I found was too bloody and I quickly grew out of it. Banjo-Two-ie(?) had some pretty neat minigames like that. It was everything Banjo-Kazooie was but more. (mayan kickball, bird-gun shooting, mini-quiz show, submarine shooting, eeeeeee!(nerd-gasm)
Stay inspired!

That list I made were actually games I have played, I never played Diddy Kong racing before as well I'm sure there is quite a few more games that are worth mentioning from the N64.

If you don't have your N64, you at least have to download an emulator for it. It's the racing game.

I still have my N64, just not that game. Is that game really that great? I always thought it was just a different version of Mario Kart with Donkey Kong characters. I would try it on an emulator if I had a stronger PC which I don't... :(

Actually, the only one from Donkey Kong is Diddy Kong.

I don't think Mario Kart had a story, or so many tracks like DKR. It took me like 5 years to get the game.

I didn't have any problems with the N64. My favorite three games for this were Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (even though all of these games are pretty repetitive), Hey You! Pikachu, just simply because you can chat with the damn thing, and my favorite RPG for the system, Aidyn Chronicles. Haven't played too many other games for it, but the South Park FPS was pretty funny at times.
