Doesn't look like the story will be told told like in Sonic 3 and Knuckles: http://ninterra.com/random/hedgehog_engine/sonic30.jpg I'm wondering about the framerate too. Strange thing is that the framerate of the same level was fine at E3: http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/son...ameplay-movie-3 |

Wouldn't the whole video be streaming around that framerate then? The framerate in the Werehog parts is just fine. |

I think its the trailer. Remember, they put a whole bunch of gameplay clips onto that video and I think some of those clips are pretty old and if I'm not mistaken the part where sonic is running forward from whats seems to be a boss was also on the E3 trailer and the E3 trailer had a low framerate. As well, in the E3 trailer they reused gameplay clips from the premiere trailer and the high Europe trailer in a lower framerate. |

The Japanese version of the E3 trailer has a smooth framerate though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKn1DGWJFgs |

There's a few vids up on Gametrailers, including the first Wii footage which doesn't look too bad. I'm a bit turned off by the whole 'wumpa fruit' look of ring collecting in the 360 vid though. |

It doesn't look like it would distract too much, i don't mind it much. What i do not like is the EXP bar that pops up sometimes. Anyway, links: Wii version (Daytime): http://www.gametrailers.com/player/41109.html Seaside Parlor (Nighttime): http://www.gametrailers.com/player/41102.html Ring Race (Daytime): http://www.gametrailers.com/player/41096.html Also, the Japanese site has been changed: http://sonic.sega.jp/SonicWorldAdventure/#/character At the characters section you can see silhouettes of Dr. Robotnik, Tails, Amy, Chip and a new character that looks like a human with a big nose, and maybe a cap. He's only missing a mustache. |

This game might be the game that'll actually be great for once. This is probably the most polish I ever seen in any sonic game ever, even the people who played the game said so and they say the controls are smooth and they haven't been receiving any labg/framerate issues. I really don't know which version to pick up.... Wii: - $50, $10 cheaper - More control options (I really wanna use the wii controls instead) - Daytime Stages handled by DIMPS (they make the advance/rush series) - Different engine - Nicer looking HUD (IMO, but its not really important) - Adventure field areas are accessible through point and click menus (I don't know if it affects gameplay) - Levels are a bit wider. Xbox 360: - $60 - Better graphics - Daytime levels handled by Sonic Team - Hedgehog engine - Achievements - May have downloadable content such as bonus levels (not confirmed) |

From the looks of the 360 gameplay, Sonic's control in the 3d segments is gonna be more akin to steering as opposed to going in the direction you point, which is either gonna be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how it's executed. From the vids I've seen people were finding it hard to collect the rings, |

It looks like I'm getting the 360 version, because this video disappointed me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxVE1dNG4fE&fmt=18 -Less objects on screen (less stuff to smash) -Fixed shadows in the game, no more circles There is like no challenge whatsoever... Although I admit this has to be the best looking Wii game I've ever seen.. but thats not enough for me to go with this version. Is it me or does Sonic run faster and smoother in the Wii version? |
